The Value-Added Program is an intensive 8-week training designed for graduates of the Farmer Training Program who are ready to take the next step in their agricultural journey. Participants earn a recognized food safety certification while gaining hands-on experience in a licensed commercial kitchen. Through guided instruction and practical application, participants learn commercial food processing methods and develop value-added products using produce grown in THRIVE’s gardens. The program builds technical skills, increases market readiness, and expands income opportunities by equipping participants with the knowledge and experience needed to safely process, package, and prepare farm products for sale.
